Ofmeet video problems after 4.0.3 upgrade
Hi there,
I upgraded from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3 and everything seemed fine. Candy chat looked good until we tried the video. It seems Jistsi video bridge will only allow the first person in the video chat to see remote video. The 2nd person in the chat only sees their video. If the first person logs out and then back in then they can no longer see the remote video but the original 2nd person now can see them.
I haven;t tried with more than 2 people. Not sure what would happen with a group chat.
Any ideas?

Spark não loga no servidor
Boa tarde Amigos,
Instalei o Servidor do Openfire no Debian 8.5 , o mesmo esta rodando perfeitamente na minha rede. Consigo entrar pela rede normal.
Mas quando nas estacoes que instalo o spark para conectar o mesmo fica somente dando Username ou password incorreta.
Nao sei se o problema esta na liberação da porta 5222 no próprio servidor linux.
Agradeço antecipado a ajuda.

Boa tarde Vinícius, acho que o cenário não poderia piorar mais, ontem por acaso eu descobri esse problema da versão do cliente spark a partir da 2.8 com o openfire 4.0.3. Eu já tinha um ambiente funcionando com o cliente 2.7.5 e a versão 3.10.2, então resolvi atualizar o openfire para a versão 4.0.3, fiz a atualização sem problemas e os usuários autenticaram normalmente, ai ao trocar uma estação de trabalho e instalar o novo cliente 2.8, deu o tal erro de autenticação, instalei a versão 2.7.5 e funcionou perfeitamente.
Agora olha o problema, eu subi o mesmo ambiente em outra empresa do grupo e era exatamente esse o meu problema, não conseguir autenticar, então com essa descoberta eu instalei a versão 2.7.5 e bingo, funcionou no mesma hora, mais quando fui fazer a conexão fora da rede interna deu o mesmo erro de autenticação e eu estou utilizando o cliente 2.7.5.
Sinceramente não sei mais o que fazer ou testar, acho que esgotei minhas possibilidades. Na rede interna funciona, numa conexão qualquer de internet recusa o usuário e senha, estou usando o mesmo para ambas conexões.
Quanto a conexão do servidor eu sempre fiz por hostname, nunca por endereço IP, pois isso facilita na manutenção. Eu posso simplesmente subir um servidor em paralelo com outro endereço IP e criar uma entrada DNS para ele, sem haver a necessidade de trocar a configuração no cliente.

Boa tarde Franzé, abri um post com a mesma questão, ontem tanto eu quanto o Vinicius descobrimos o que possa ser o problema, no ambiente do Vinicius ele utilizou no local do servidor spark o nome do host ao invés do IP do servidor, no meu caso eu instalei a versão 2.7.5 do spark ao invés da 2.8 e funcionou. Espero ter ajudado

I'm having the same issue again so apparently clearing out the Spark folder in AppData/Roaming only fixed my Spark for a few days.

Guys you have to find or create some sort of easy to use emoji app. I would pay for emoji's if you had some to download and a tool to load them. Even better some gifs within texts would hurt.. this is 2016. If there is something out there which will allow me to install emojis into spark please share. Thanks - other than I think its a great product for IT depts in business

Conference Room setup gets "No response from server"
A few of my users are having trouble setting up a conference room with two or more participants. When they pick their Invited Users and then click the Invite button, they get an error message saying "No response from server." The conference creator is logged in successfully, as are the invitees. And all other Spark functions seem to work fine. Any ideas on trouble-shooting?

I doubt it. Main Spark audience is corporate users who get Spark from their IT departments. Anyway, we are not here to make money from Spark. We are volunteers making our money on our real jobs Spark\Openfire is free open-source software without any paid features.

The error you have pasted in the post (about the database already locked) is most probably caused by you trying to run the Openfire launcher when Openfire is probably already running as a service (hence the error, that you can't access the database, as service is already using it). So, do not run launcher.
About the login issue in Spark. Microsoft has released a security update this month which is causing problems in some applications, so i wonder if this is the case. Do you have KB3175024 installed on one of these Windows 10 machines? It should be with the installation date of 09.14-16. You can try uninstalling this update temporarily to see if this helps with the login on this PC.

We can't survey them in Spark. We do polls on this site sometimes and 5-6 users reply usually Only admins go here, users usually not.
I'm not very keen on stickers. But if someone makes support for a few emojis, i'm not opposed. Patches are welcomed

Openfire upgrade failed - Windows Uninstall fails - looking for uninstaller
Is there an uninstall utility available?
Perhaps manual uninstall instructions?
Spark / Openfire had been running well in our office for months, perhaps a year.
Another "mission critical program running on the box where Openfire is running as our Spark server required a Java upgrade (to version 8.0) which appears to have cause major issues with Openfire.
We've tried Updating Java to version 8.0 101 with no success.
Openfire_4_0_3 upgrade failed to the point open fire will not run.
Spark version is 2.7.5.752
Open fire server computer is Windows 7 professional, 32-bit, currently running no antivirus. Removed Symantec Endpoint Protection, Windows Defender is off, Windows Firewall is off (we have a frontline firewall so this is not an issue)

Just remove the Openfire installation folder and then remove the entry from Programs and Features. Then try installing again. If you were using internal databse, then copy Openfire folder before removing it (it contains embedded-db folder with the database).

Boa tarde Vinicius, estou usando um apontamento DNS para resolver o ip externo, mais também tentei a conexão diretamente pelo ip externo e não funcionou. O mais estranho é que possuo um ambiente quase idêntico, onde tudo está funcionando, inclusive a conexão externa.
A diferença é que no ambiente que está funcionando o openfire foi atualizado para a versão 4.0.3 e no outro ambiente foi feita a instalação do zero, estou utilizando banco mysql e openfire 4.0.3 em ambos
