I can't believe it. Deinstalled Java 9 and installed Java 8 and I got connected with spark, chatsecure app on iphone and android with port 5222 and it works with port 5223. Many thanks for help!

Disregard- I just re-downloaded the package and the resources are there. I had originally downloaded the package right after it was released and only got to upgrading today.

ALREADY FIXED: install4j Missing from Openfire 4.0.3 tarball
After I made the post below I re-downloaded the tarball and found the resources inside. I would delete this post but I do not see a way to do so.
The .install4j directory and openfire script are missing from the 4.0.3 release tarball. Is install4j going away or was this an oversight?
I've copied the resources from the 4.0.2 install over and they appear to be working fine. The openfire.sh, openfirectl and extras/openfired scripts all seem to have issues on my system. I'm running Ubuntu Server 12.04.5 LTS
openfirectl was close to working for me but would not populate the /var/run/openfire.pid file with the PID so the "sudo service openfire status" never showed that the process was running.
I finally copied over the .install4j resources, re-created my symlinks and now I'm back up where I'd like to be.

Stating a chat - Desktop Icon not opening spark
So is it me or am I just not setting it up correctly.... after installing spark I login and all is good. I close the spark window (with the x) and spark continues to run in the sys tray. (albeit hidden unless you click on the tray arrow to see). So like most people that Ive installed this for of late, I click on the large Spark Icon on the desktop and nothing happens. Is this normal am I suppose to tell users to go into the sys tray to launch a new chat.. Seems dumb. Am I missing something - how do you you kick up spark without going to the systray. I think I read they're may be some short cut keys.. maybe I can make a new launch icon..

Publicando o Sparkweb
Boa tarde à todos.
Configurei em minha organização o Sparkweb. Ele até funciona, mas somente no servidor local. Nas outras estações e servidores da rede local não funciona. Como configuro no IIS (Windows Server 2012 R2) para que o Sparkweb funciona tanto localmente quanto externamente. O mesmo também foi liberado no firewall com a porta 7070. Alguma dica?

Problema execução Spark
Boa tarde à todos.
Estou com o seguinte problema no Spark. Em uma estação o cliente do Spark (2.8.0) só funciona se for executado como administrador. Esta estação possui o Windows 7 professional. Mesmo setando as permissões NTFS na pasta de instalação do Spark não funciona. O cliente até carrega, mas quando abre a janela para conversar com algum contato, a janela fica vazia sem nenhuma informação. Quando alguém chama este contato, também não é recebido o alerta. Alguém sabe contornar esse problema? Este é o único caso em que esse problema aconteceu. Desde já grato.

OpenFire to MSSQL with AD auth and Encryption
So I am having a hell of time with my DB string to connect to our MSSQL.
My setup: MSSQL running on a windows server with an Active Directory user (we'll say OpenfireUser) as sysadmin on the Database. This database also requires encryption. On the setup screen to connect to the Database, what all should i be entering for the DATABASE URL and the Username? The sql server throws an event complaining about encryption, and the Openfire server complains about the database connection resetting....
Any help would be great thanks!

You are asking in General Discussion section, but is this a Spark question? If so, you can install Bookmarks plugin on Openfire and then go to Bookmarks menu in Admin Console and create bookmarks for rooms for selected users and enable auto-join option for these bookmarks.
